Some fun facts about Danika include:
Before working at SharpNet, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’d ever had?
D: I spent some time coaching gymnastics, which was interesting trying to rein in 100+ kids per week. I also worked at a country club/golf course. This job was just interesting because I got to be around a lot of different people—from neurosurgeons to moms, there was always something going on.
How did you first learn about SharpNet?
D: At the beginning of the pandemic, I had just graduated from college and was looking far and wide for digital marketing jobs. My mom was helping me search for jobs as well and ended up sending me the description for this job and said she had a good feeling about it. (This is how Camille found us too—thank you moms of SharpNet!!)
How do you balance your career at SharpNet and your free time?
D: Taking time for myself, family, friends, and pets is really important to me. Since I’m currently working from home, I have to learn to turn my computer off and wind down and disconnect. I also make time to work out, which helps me balance everything.
How has SharpNet helped you in your career development?
D: I have learned more in six months working here than I did in school. I never knew the real impact marketing and SEO have on business. It has given me motivation to drive me in my career and see how we can help people.
What is your favorite movie or TV show?
D: My favorite movies are Step Brothers and Beauty and the Beast.
Tell me something about yourself that others may be surprised to know about you.
D: I’m an only child, but people don’t really meet me and know that. It’s nice knowing I don’t fit the only child cliché, haha.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
D: Fly. Then I wouldn’t have to sit in traffic and could go anywhere, at any time, and with COVID, I could still travel the whole world safely.
What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
D: Try everything I ever wanted to, having confidence to change everything, whether it be to pursue my current path or to go off and become a surgeon.
Best vacation you’ve been on?
D: Costa Rica. The people there are so nice. I got to go ziplining and hiking, and had lunch at a local house. It was a really fun and different trip.
What is something you would like to accomplish in the New Year?
D: Training my puppy to grow up and to be a successful dog parent.
