About Our Founder Chris W. Sharp – SharpNET Solutions was founded by Chris W. Sharp in September of 1998 as an internet marketing company, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Older than Google, SharpNET was launched early into the “dot-com boom.” Chris earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and was employed as a Process Engineer for companies including Hewlett Packard, Agilent and Micron Technology. Chris became a lead engineer, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and was awarded an engineering patent for the semiconductor industry. Mr. Sharp enjoys giving back; having coached soccer for kids for over nine seasons and track for two. Mr. Sharp and his wife Amie (married 27 years) raised three vibrant boys, including identical twins. The twins (youngest) both work at SharpNET and attend college part-time. The oldest son works for Amazon in Seattle as a software engineer.
SharpNET Grows Up – Over time, SharpNET experienced significant growth and was selected twice as a Mercury 100 company (top 10 business growth) for Northern Colorado. SharpNET is a two-time nominee for the Biz West IQ Award (Innovation Quotient) for innovative and emerging companies. Through innovation and dedication, SharpNET expanded its service portfolio to include most forms of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, Social Media, Conversion Tracking, Content Marketing and Website Design.
Early in 2010, SharpNET launched its own intellectual property software affectionately called SharpReports. SharpReports covers many critical tasks for SharpNET including the creation of our campaign performance reports, sales proposals, customer CRM and many other tasks. SharpReports also made SEO outsourcing possible. SEO Outsourcing was an immediate success for SharpNET, with over 60% of all new SharpNET campaigns originating from our outsourcing programs. Over 75 agencies across the USA outsource SEO to SharpNET. Based on the size of SharpNET, we estimate that SharpReports saves over $15,000 per month in software and subscription fees (like reporting search engine rankings). We pass this savings on to our clients and partners, allowing highly affordable services without compromising quality.
